Review every available front and back photo. The individual listing's photos, written description, and disclosed flaws take precedence over this general guide.
Condition levels
Near Mint
A clean card with a fresh overall appearance. It may have very slight edge or corner wear, tiny surface marks, or another minor printing or handling imperfection. Near Mint does not mean flawless, professionally graded, or guaranteed to receive a particular grade.
Lightly Played
Minor but visible wear such as small edge whitening, light scratches, slight corner wear, or mild surface scuffing. The card remains attractive and intact.
Moderately Played
Noticeable wear such as whitening, scratching, surface wear, edge wear, small dents, or light creasing. The card remains complete, but the wear is easy to see.
Heavily Played
Heavy edge or surface wear, obvious whitening, multiple creases, dents, bends, or other substantial signs of use. The card is complete but visibly worn.
Damaged
Damage that goes beyond normal play wear, such as tears, water damage, writing, peeling, severe bends or creases, missing material, or structural damage.
Sealed / New
An unopened product in its original packaging. Packaging can still have normal shelf wear, small scuffs, or minor manufacturing imperfections unless the listing states otherwise.
How cards are reviewed
Forge Nation TCG considers the card's front, back, corners, edges, surface, and overall structure. Lighting, sleeves, foil patterns, print lines, factory defects, and camera differences can affect how a card appears in a photo.
Condition is a good-faith visual assessment and can involve reasonable judgment. Raw cards are not represented as professionally graded unless a listing specifically identifies a third-party graded item and shows its grading label.
Foils, vintage cards, and manufacturing variation
Foil cards may show light curling, print lines, or surface characteristics related to manufacturing and storage. Older cards may show age-related wear even when carefully stored. Centering, print dots, ink variation, and factory cutting are manufacturing characteristics and are shown or described when significant and visible.
